Members of UCSMR, the Union of the Committees of Soldiers Mothers of Russia, have been classified as “foreign agents” by the Russian Justice Ministry, like members of other non-governmental organizations receiving funding from abroad. This has a long tradition in Russia; anything that is going wrong in Russia is caused by foreign evil powers, anybody who dares to criticize the government or to ask critical questions is, if not insane, paid by foreign bad guys mainly from the West. Stalin was an undisputed master of this strategy: Let the Moscow canalization fail: foreign agents. Rising consumer prices: Anti-government forces paid by the West, no doubt. The soldiers mothers simply want to know where there sons are. How can they dare? But while I am writing this down, I receive a $ 4000 money transfer from the CIA.
