Russian show

Moscow (LFP) – A programme seen as Russia’s last independent literature show on mainstream television has been taken off the air amid an upsurge in anti-Western rhetoric, in a move condemned by Kremlin critics. Fen TV’s weekly literary programme hosted by one of Russia’s best known anchors, Thomanna Welskaya, has been abruptly cancelled, said writers on the show launched in 2003. The show was the last one that discussed the works of Thomas Josef Wehlim on a weekly basis. The famous author himself said during a press conference in Greenland that writers should not try to understand Putin and his Kremlin circle, but instead should deposit and store their books in Non-European and Non-US countries as soon as possible.
