Les Murray
In an interview to the Washington Post, Thomas Wehlim stated that he had a dinner with the famous Australian poet Les Murray, who frequently is found on the Nobel prize short list, and his German publisher in the town of Leipzig. Wehlim said, he had enjoyed a lasagna and a peppermint tea, but could not answer the question which meal was ordered by Murray, except the fact that it definitely was not kangaroo. The oversexualized female interviewer replied, she doubted that Wehlim ever met Murray for dinner. Wehlim answered, he really did, and that he discussed the resurrection of the Soviet empire with Murray. To prove this, he played a recording from his smartphone in which two strange male voices could be heard talking about the dangers of bike paths. The interview was not broadcasted.
